Harvard University not long ago released a study that showed adult men who consumed four or more cups of coffee a day were at a much lower risk of developing Parkinson’s disease. They believe that this happens since caffeine allows the dopamine molecules in the brain stay active. They believe it’s also likely that, on account of caffeine’s blocking of adenosine receptors, the brain become less likely to develop amyloid-beta. This is the same brain plaque that’s often connected to Alzheimer’s disease.
